Breakfast at Treehouse, North Sydney
Boyfriend and I are always on the lookout for new places to go for breakfast. It’s not very often that we go back to the same place twice.
Our most recent breakfast venture was to Treehouse in North Sydney. Treehouse is a bar slash restaurant by night and I’ve been there for drinks and also once for lunch (steak sandwich – it was delicious). They do offer breakfast and brunch they are open on Saturdays so Boyfriend and I decided to give it a go.
Treehouse has gone all out when it comes to decorating. We’re talking astroturf, bright coloured cushions and umbrellas, birdcages, wicker chairs, plants – the whole works. This makes for a great place to catch up with friends over a few jugs of cocktails or to sit in the sunshine and enjoy breakfast on a Saturday morning.
We started our breakfast, as usual, with two double shot lattes. The coffee here was strong and delicious. It definitely did not disappoint.
We shared the zucchini, pea and haloumi fritters which came with roast tomato and chilli relish ($16). The fritters were really light and fresh and very tasty. The roast tomato and chilli relish were perfect accompaniments.
Secondly, we shared the Treehouse Big Breakfast -THREE eggs (wowser), bacon, hashbrown (I wished there had been more than one), sourdough toast, roast tomato and avocado ($21). Now that’s a big breakfast.

Would I go again? I have to go back and try those pancakes!

That’s awesome that this place is called Treehouse, because I went to a club in college called The Treehouse. Ah, memories.
